By popular demand, Tarot Classroom was created to provide an interactive learning experience with Tarot expert and author Janet Boyer. Specially created articles and exercises will be shared with the Group, as well as personalized responses to Group questions. See below for more information!

Note from Janet: Come join me as we experience the Tarot! We'll cover Tarot structure, all 78 cards, archetypes, symbolism, readings, what cards usually come up for certain issues and so much more. I'll also be incorporating a brand new Tarot method I've devised that is the basis of my next book, Tarot Detective: Investigating the Cards with the 7 Clue Method. This exciting, accessible and comprehensive method has never been shared before! But as a student of Tarot Classroom, you'll be a part of this cutting-edge methodology. (The book will eventually be a textbook for future classes.)
WHO? This virtual classroom will be geared to beginner and intermediate students, although Tarot enthusiasts of all levels will learn fresh new ways of seeing and working with the cards. Students can ask any questions and post any comments. Although the lessons themselves will have structure, the mode of learning, interaction and responses will not! It will truly be like experiencing an actual classroom, except you'll be able to be as involved as you'd like and go as deep as you'd want--all on your own time table.
WHEN and WHERE? Anytime! You can work at your own pace on a card-by-card basis. This means that you don't have to be in front of the computer any specific date/time in order to access the lessons, post questions, receive feedback, etc.
WHAT WILL YOU COVER? We'll approach the cards from a myriad of angles, including deck structure, all 78 cards, troublesome cards, light/shadow continuum, court cards, reversals, spreads, the four elements, myth, color symbolism, numerology, fact sheets, performing readings, exercises, and so much more. I'll be introducing my new Tarot Detective: Investigating the Cards with the 7 Clue Method (the subject of my upcoming book) which has never been shared before, as well as "extra curricular" lessons such as using the Tarot for creative writing, brainstorming, spiritual growth, dream interpretation, alchemy, Qabalah and more!
WHAT DO I NEED? To get the most out of the Tarot Classroom, I recommend having at least one Tarot deck in your possession (although it's not absolutely necessary since websites such as Learn Tarot has the entire Rider-Waite featured, and because each of my card lessons will display four different cards from four different decks with the 7 Clue Method: The Universal Waite, Halloween, Whimsical and Vanessa Tarots).
It would be best to have a Tarot deck with an "animated" Minor Arcana. That is,the cards numbered Ace through Ten feature people, animals, scenarios, etc. Decks I feel would be great to work with in the Tarot Classroom include:
To view more decks for potential use in the Tarot Classroom, you can visit my Reviews/Decks section here. You can order these decks through Amazon.com via the links above (or those imbedded in my reviews) or at your favorite bookstore.
In addition, I recommend a notebook or journal to record your thoughts and responses to exercises, as well as results from any reading practices you do in the Tarot Classroom.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST? As long as you'd like! The Tarot is vast and its uses virtually endless. We will begin with the Fool, Magician and Aces, working on other parallel projects at the same time (e.g. numerology, the four elements, Tarot myths, ethics, etc.). We will be learning each card indepth, one at a time, as well as adjunct lessons. Lessons composed of 5 or more exercises per card will be posted every week or two. (In otherwise, the work is comprehensive. I hope you like homework *smile*) You can work as fast or as slow as you'd like.
WHAT DOES IT COST? The non-refundable entry fee is $295 via PayPal. You can pay using the purple "Add to Shopping Cart" button below or by using my email address (see the Email button on the navigation menu on the left). After that, students can contribute any amount on a weekly or monthly basis according to the value derived from the information provided through the Tarot Classroom. No one will be looking over your shoulder or making you feel guilty: if you value what you're receiving, just send in what it's worth to you using via PayPal to my email address. After you pay your entry fee, it's up to YOU what you want to pay. Pretty cool, huh?
Do you need to split the entrance fee into two payments of $150 or three payments of $100? No problem! Just send your first payment to my email address (see Email link on the navigation menu on the left side of this page) via PayPal's Send Money option, then drop me a note letting me know. Please make sure you use the Personal tab (not Purchase) and mark Payment Owed in the circle. That way, PayPal won't take out a fee.
Blessings to you and I'm excited for your new adventure!
Praise for Janet's Tarot Classroom:
Yes, Janet, I've worked with the cards off and on for a few years but I've never made good connections with them. What do I need you for?? Surely you jest! The big thing that is happening already for me is considering each card in the different positions you've listed. That has always been a huge problem for me. I find w/ your method I'm finally making better associations and going beyond the basic meaning of each card. -- Harper
Janet, Before going through the 7 Clue Method and the rest of the assignment I mainly felt confusion in regard to the Magician. I now think I have a good start (learning never ends) in understanding this card. This method is making a huge difference for me-it gives me a way into the card and a way to structure the information. -- Ann
I really love Janet's approach, studying each card 'intuitively' instead of memorizing a bunch of keywords. It makes so much more sense, and allows me to feel more of a bond with the cards. -- Carol T.
I just want to say that I LOVE the concept of the Tarot Detective [that you use in the Tarot Classroom and will be featuring in your upcoming book]. I'm an acting teacher/coach and am writing my own acting book called Sifting for Clues, and it's very much along the same lines using the metaphor of the detective...How cool!!! -- David Rosenhaus
Janet, I wanted to thank you for this class. We tend to get wrapped up in lessons, what our lives are doing and other challenges and sometimes our actions become rote. Your lessons have me slowing down and taking stock of what happens in my life. Thank you again. -- RaAnn
I'm getting so much out of this class, but the most important thing is a newfound confidence in trusting my gut when reading the Tarot. I've never been able to do that before because I figured there was a 'right' and 'wrong' way to interpret the cards. Now that I understand it's all about reading in a way that resonates with me, I feel like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders. :-) -- Elizabeth Cooper
You have no idea what you're in for! This class is awesome, and even though I still have to finish my assignments for the Fool (appropriately, the first card we're going to talk about), I have learned a lot already. You will learn to find your own meanings for the cards, and you will learn from other students who post their homework here too. The class pace is set by the students, and Janet won't move on if we aren't ready. -- Michelle
Although I have been studying and reading the Tarot for some time, I decided to take Janet Boyer's Tarot Class. It has been a wonderful experience! The class started on January 4th. My knowledge and understanding has grown in leaps and bounds since then. -- Autumn Winds Tarot Blog
I've been interested in Tarot for a long time, but I've never delved deeply. For me, a resource junkie, I think I was just overwhelmed by all the resources. I needed a structure and an instructor. I didn't realize this until Janet advertised her class, and I found myself longing to be part of it. I've followed Janet's reviews and Tarot postings for a long while, and I felt she had good insights and experience with the Tarot. I like her take on things...I've been doing it for a month, and I've found it to be well-organized, well-thought-out, and well worth doing. -- Tamara
